Greenland High School is proud to recognize senior Colt Hood on his appointment to the United States Naval Academy!

Admission to the Naval Academy is highly selective, requiring exceptional academic performance, leadership, and completion of a rigorous multi-step application process, including a congressional nomination. Colt’s achievement reflects his strong work ethic, leadership, and character.

During his time at Greenland, Colt has been a three-sport athlete in baseball, football, and golf, served as a member of Student Council and FBLA, and represented the school at both Boys State and Youth Tour through the Arkansas Electric Cooperative.

At the Naval Academy, Colt plans to study Aerospace Engineering and pursue aviation as he prepares to serve our country.

We are proud to celebrate this outstanding accomplishment and wish him the very best in this next chapter. ⚓
