Students visited Big Cedar to learn about the many career opportunities available, tour the property, visit the spa, and enjoy lunch at Uncle Buck’s. Thank you to Hayes Reed and the Big Cedar HR team for generously providing lunch for everyone!
We then headed to College of the Ozarks, where Trent and Dawson gave our students a tour of campus and shared their experiences as current students!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this trip possible and gave our students the opportunity to learn, explore, and see what their future could look like!

Students took on a hands-on economic development and city planning project, working together to make decisions about the future growth and development of a community. They then presented their plans—and, most importantly, the reasoning behind their decisions—to members of the City Council.
This experience gave our students the opportunity to think critically, collaborate, problem-solve, consider the needs of a community, and confidently communicate their ideas to local leaders.
We are so proud of the way these young leaders stepped up, shared their voices, and demonstrated that the leaders of tomorrow are already learning how to make an impact today! 👏🏼🏙️

Congratulations to our Pirate Pride winner, Jamie Stout! Jamie was nominated by crew members for going above and beyond!
"Jamie constantly goes above and beyond for students, parents, and coworkers. She gives kids ice cream money, gives pep talk and encourages kids when they need it, reassures parents, and gives gifts to people going through a hard time. She is smart and thinks of things that others don't to keep our building running smooth. She is always willing to help me with any kind of problem I'm having whether it be technology or finding a phone number or anything. She's truly a blessing to all and I don't know what I would do without her."
~Nominated by Natalie Haines
When asked how it feels being a Pirate Pride Honoree, Jamie replied, "Great to know people think of me as they do."
Way to go Jamie!

$10 a plate gets you US farm raised catfish, fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw, a cookie, and a drink.
All proceeds go to help Greenland FFA students travel to Indianapolis next month for the FFA National Convention. The FFA National Convention is the largest student conference in the nation and we are excited to allow our students this opportunity.
